Steve stopped by AGAIN to see if there were any changes, and I was on the phone with him for the ride. As he was going through each room, I stopped him when he said "Oh there's the sprinkler system." I'm like, "In the yard babe?" and he's like "No, in the house." Really? We have a sprinkler system in the house? School this clueless woman! He said that building codes nowadays call for sprinkler systems in the home in case of a fire. I had no clue! With that said, here's a few pictures he took to make me feel dumber than I was before:
All I knew about was what Guardian said they would provide...they would have a security system in place to call for help if someone attempted to break in...I figured they MAY have a carbon monoxide monitor as well. But a sprinkler system in the house too? This is my first house so I am totally clueless on these things! Bless my heart...
Where are you building? They are now required in Charles County (Maryland), so we will have one for the first time also! The electricians drilled right through one of the pipes and we had water on the subflooring for days.
ReplyDeleteWe're building in Charles County as well, Piney Grove. I am finding that many bloggers on here are in Maryland!
DeleteThat's really cool you have a sprinkler system!
DeleteWe're currently in Charles Crossing. Nikki is our sales person too. I love her!
DeleteWe live in Prince George's County (Maryland) and they require them here too! It is such a necessity--we used to live in a RH townhouse with the sprinkler system and with the alarm alert to the fire department--good thing we had it because I almost burnt the house down! I was in shock for hours!
DeleteWe aren't required to have one. I think I would feel better if we did! Anything that would help save my house and the people in it!
ReplyDeleteI feel a little more at ease knowing we have it!
